Do you think that the National Media, as a whole, is biased toward Liberal views?
Perhaps you have noticed that the media tends to swing to the left on almost every issue. What ever happened to non-biased journalism? Is it dead? Are we being programmed to see the world as they want us to see it? I think we are, let me know your views. Thanks for looking a giving an intelligent answer.

YES! They are even admitting to it now more than ever. They do not care about the truth. They only care to make themselves look good. The media has become very liberal and biased toward only what they THINK is the truth. They don't care about the U.S. anymore, only about destroying it.
I have an Iraqi friend with family in Iraq. After the troops went in, his brother and father in-law went back to Iraq as interpreters. They told my friend not to listen to the news and even mentioned some of them.....(CNN, CNBC, ABC, etc....).
His relatives said the living there is better than before, BUT, this was before the terrorists starting bombing practically every day AND after the news organizations started badmouthing the U.S. and the president. Some say that the bombing was because the news was so against the U.S. that maybe public sentiment could be pushed in favor of pulling out.
His relatives said it was so much better. You didn't have to worry about a family member disappearing on the streets and being found raped and/or tortured to death later.
The people they talked to were happy the U.S. was in Iraq. Of course nobody WANTS another country to HAVE to do something like this and be in their streets, BUT they are happy we are there. A lot wished the U.S. would stay because they trust the U.S. government more than their own. The news media made it sound like everybody hated us and wanted us out. The family members said what they didn't show was the ones that wanted us to stay. The only ones that WANT us to leave are the ones that were loyal to saddam heusian. This seems to also include the liberal U.S. media.
I could tell you some of the stories he told me that would make you sick before the U.S. got involved.
Before anymore people give me a fhumbs down on this one remember this.
THIS IS FROM IRAQI EYE WITNESSES IN THE MIDDLE EAST BEFORE AND AFTER THE U.S. INTERVENED. THEY ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH ANY POLITICAL PARTY, MILITARY OR TERRORIST GROUP. THEY ARE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE PUTTING THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE TO HELP THEIR COUNTRY GET BETTER.
REMEMBER, THE NEWS NEEDS TO SELL PAPERS TO PAY THE REPORTERS. REPORTERS ARE VERY GOOD AT SENSATIONALIZING AND LYING IN A STORY TO SELL PAPERS. THE NEWS MEDIA IS NOT HELPING IRAQ OR OUR COUNTRY AT ALL.
OUR MILITARY IS HELPING US.

Depends on which network you watch to get your news. FOX News is obviously biased toward conservative views, and the fact that their ratings are higher than any other news network should tell the other networks something. The mainstream liberal media had a stranglehold on all news networks for almost 30 years, and now that the conservative news shows and talk shows are beating the others in the ratings they're whining about "equal time." No question that the news networks want to use their forum as a platform for their political agendas, and no question that the American people have been (and still are) getting fed up with the overwhelming liberal bias still prevalent in TV news.

I think the media is completely biased! Lots of the time they dont tell the complete story, are opinionated way too much, and sometimes they dont even tell the truth. Im not a decided liberal or conservative, but I tend to lean toward more conservative news because ive noticed that, even when the news is "bad" for republicans, they still seem to tell the truth, the whole truth, and both sides of the story. That's why I sometimes watch news programs like Hannity and Colmes on Fox news because there is both burning of conservative and liberal, and Hannity is republican while Colmes is democrat. I completely agree with you. I can honestly say that America is misinformed about many important things going on today because of the biased media, from local to even Iraq and our officials. And thats coming from a neutral view about the left and right in politics.

Yes, if you simply count the number of news outlets on the Left - CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NY Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, etc. - versus the number on the Right - Fox News, Washington Times - it would seem that the liberals have more ways of getting their views out to the masses. Fortunately, talk radio seems to belong to the conservatives, which is why the Dems are bleating about the "Fairness Doctrine". HOOEY!! The reason liberals don't make it in talk radio is because they already have so many other media outlets on their side - it's unnecessary.

The flower children of the 60's found out that information was the key to public opinion. They have stuck together and will not allow an opposite opinion in the club or clubhouse. They are very protective and will not allow any members to stray even a little. Look what happen to Joe Lieberman. They know that if they repeat the same lie enough times it becomes fact and that's how they do it.

No. It depends where you look.
Conservatives tend to see a vast liberal media. Liberals tend to point to a vast conservative media.
Everyone wants to feel as though the world is pitted against them.
Really, of course, no media outlet is unbiased, and every newspaper, magazine, and broadcast is slanted to some degree, but there is no vast conspiracy to program viewers to see the world from a liberal/conservative perspective.
If you feel as though one outlet isn't giving you a complete picture (and you may be right), gather your news from multiple sources to ensure balanced coverage.

Yes...but to their credit they're not denying it as much as they used to. A lot of reporters have admitted (grudgingly, in some cases) that they sometimes let their political views influence their coverage.

Oh my GOD, its so obvious now that news isn't even reported unless it makes Bush look bad. Guys like Oberman and McCaffery are so anti Bush that their entire shows are dedicated to abusing him as much as possible.
