My hands and legs keep falling asleep?

I am not using this to self diagnose. I am going to see a doctor first thing in the morning. I am asking tonight because I am scared and want to know what it could be. For a while now (6 months) when I would wake up in the morning I would have stiff joints and pain in my feet. In the past 2 months I have been waking up with my arms and legs asleep several times a night. I am not laying funny or on my arm or anything just normal. Yesterday when I first woke up my hands fell asleep when I was sitting putting my make up on. Today all day both arms keep falling asleep. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas to what may be going on. From what I have found on the internet it's possibly carple tunnel, but that does not explain my legs falling asleep as well.

Ok, a friend of mine has a condition in which she wakes up and cannot move her legs or arms. She says it's a type of paralysis that happens when you're sleeping. It's not dangerous, but it may keep you from getting up for a few minutes. I'm not sure if there's medication for it, but it is not life threatening. Hope you find out what's causing it!!

U have to be brisk. Get up early in the morning walk a couple of kilometre, if the roads are clean u should walk bare foot.

Do some exercise that suits u and ur body. Drink plenty of water, about 6-8 litres of water per day. ur dinner should be two hours before sleep, and u shoud walk about 1/2 a km after dinner. u should eat about 50-75% of ur capacity or less.

If u know skipping then make a count of about 25-50 at one go after the warm up.

The process mentioned should be done atleast once a week for the result to show. This is without any medication. If u find satsifactory result then continue.

So do mine !! Its great when your legs disappear and while listening to great rock n roll you are IN the band. Then the stars come out and wow man you are in the galaxies. And all for a few euros and a bit of smart horticulture !! Yeah my legs fall asleep and often miss the show but I get to see it skyward in the park when that happens ! Or sometimes they wake up and are going like an athletes legs man ! Roll with it babe.

( hey you may have ** Intermittent Claudication ** or **Peripheral Arteries Disease *.(PAD) Don't worry its easily sorted ! Seriously, no problems. Ask Doc. Keep smiling ! )

I have two ideas as to what could be the problem, but I am by no means a doctor.

First idea is that when your hand or foot goes to sleep, sometimes this means that the circulation has been disrupted.

Second idea is that you may have a pinched nerve. My husbands arms go to sleep a lot when he goes to sleep. It wakes him up and he cannot go back to sleep until he has gotten up and gotten the feeling back in them. He goes to a chiropractor who has also been trained in massage therapyand he is good until he pinches that nerve again.
