    Hi there.

A wallop is a blow. Strong beer in the old days was nicknamed Wallop, for the strong effect it had. So to say something packs a wallop means it will hit you like strong alcohol.

    Cheers, Steve.

PS Interestingly (or not), Codswallop was a soft drink marketed as a beer replacement, so it has entered the language also as something that is rubbish and of no value.

pack a wallop can be slang for many things, the most obvious being that someone has a good punch, i.e. Jon pack's a wallop with his left fist. Used in a different way pack a wallop can be used to describe someone or something that has alot of power.

ive heard of "packs a punch"

it means there is incredible power

    or weight behind something/someone

by way of assuming that there is

"look at the size of him he is very small ,but boy can he pack a punch when he has to"

or "how would you like to fight him ?no way he looks like

    he packs a hard punch"

usually used in referring to a sport

It means something that is stronger than the norm. If you are eating chili, that has jalapino pepper juice mixed in with the ingredients, then this would be very hot! You would say, this chile packs a whollop.

properly, take exact now, merely before Christmas. numerous companies have a real rush directly to get all the orders out. so they hire human beings on a short lived foundation. If it became a confectionary corporation they could hire human beings to %. their stuff. they could be stated as fudge packers. so which you spot its relatively straight forward. Your pal says which you do no longer want your fudge packed. meaning which you do no longer want the fudge which you packed to be claimed by utilising yet another worker as their very own, meaning which you does not gets a commission for it! Or of direction, i could desire to be completely incorrect.
