Why do people who make the choice to have no children for environmental reasons....?

When i hear people talk like that i feel attacked to because if we followed the 1 child rule my sister would not be existent. Plus that rule is in China so it does not aply to us at all. Where do people get off saying how many children your are allowed to have, love, and care for? Just becase they have choosen not to create a life doesnt mean that they have to put down another and believe that it shouldnt exist. You decide how you wish to spend you life so dont let another person get you down just because they view life in a horrible way. Lief shouldnt be judged or compared to population problems. For gods sake you have created a life, why in the hell and on what earth should that be a bad thing?

You seem a little upset by someone .... If you are a parent, I would assume you know how not to let people get under your skin like that.

I have children, and I can also understand, that if everyone in the world had a child, assuming they all equally married, and each couple had only 1, that would be 3 billion more people! That is allot of people. I have 3 kids as it is.

It is sad when people go off on tangents, but what makes your tangent here different than what they said to you?

My guess would be with the way the world is turning out. People wish not to have or bring a child into a hard stricken world as they see fit too. Some just chose not to. Period.

I agree completely - in fact we *need* more children - the ageing population and falling birth-rate is one reason we are told we need so many immigrants - and they hardly stick two one or two children do they?
