Just found out I'm pregnant...?

Ok, so I just found out I'm pregnant. I'm 20 and this is my first kid. So any advice on what to expect in the coming months and years and all of that would be great! Anything I should get or do or whatever. Thanks in advance...

i'm 20 too and 17 weeks pregnant. get the book what to expect when your expecting. also you can start looking around for unisex stuff i have bought a few outfits and some oneies. my mom has gave us a bunch of stuff but if you plan on buying it all yourself you should just wait until you find out what you are having unless you don't mind neutral stuff which really isn't bad at all. i figure this way we will have stuff for when our next child is born. we plan on having them close together.at the most our baby will be 2. anyways we have a walker, bassinet, swing, high chair, and pack-n-play and a tote full of clothes that my mom gave/bought us. (she use to have a foster baby born the same month as our baby will be born and she gave us his stuff). i would also go ahead and start looking to find materinty clothes on sale. they can get pricy but i have about 13 shirts 2 skirts 2 jeans, shorts, black capri's and a couple of jackets for the fall and I've spent less than a hundred i figure i won't have to buy anyting else. my SIL had a baby dec 22 and ours in due jan 2 so she really wants us to have a girl so she can give us all of her stuff. she is already giving us her carseat and some maternity clothes. her baby was big so she will not fit in her carseat anymore after this month and she is only 7 months old but she is past the weight limit. good luck and congrats! i know i can't wait until my little one is here.

I have 3 children all grown now but the best thing I did for them was start a college fund and contributed every year to it. It really helped when it was time to use it. Stock up on diapers all stages because there is nothing like running out when you need one...lol. Keep saltine crackers for morning sickness and eat healthy for the next 9 mths. Congratulations and I hope your as excited as I was with my first.

I was 21 when I got pregnant with my first child too. Don't fight the fatigue, sleep when you can. If you're hungry, eat, don't pig out and exercise, walk, stretch, even light weight lifting is going to help, not only with labor, but shedding the weight afterward. Palmer's Cocoa Butter for stretch marks, I highly recommend it. Body pillow's are a blessing, since the last 4 months you can't hardly sleep on your stomach.

It's hard work, sometimes you feel like you can't catch up on your sleep, but they are worth it in the end. It's going to change all aspects of your life.

You are in for the ride of you life! You'll probably get sick for a while (try sucking on mints) and later you will get stressed about the weight gain, but hang in there. Just focus on your beautiful baby. I have two boys and I couldn't be happier. It's wild and exhausting but it's well worth it. Get the book, "What to Expect When You're Expecting." It really helps to answer all your questions.

Well first, you need to find you a ob/gyn, if you don't already have one. And go and get some prenatal vitamins. Next, just sit back and wait awhile before you have to do anything. I wouldn't be buying anything just yet.

Stay away from alcohol and drugs. If your doctors have you on drugs, talk to them about the situation. Nursing, too, can be affected by drugs and such if you plan on going at it that way. Stay away from smoke (smokers and smoking by yourself!). Eat healthy and check in with a doctor regularly. Good luck and best wishes to you and the baby! :)

The most important thing that you can teach your child is respect. Respect for everyone and everything. If you do that right, the rest will follow.

    Congratulations!
