As a Persian Gulf Veteran, during Desert Shield/Storm & afterwards, I hated Saddam Hussein for his cruelty, his eventual hanging was completely justified & long overdue, but I didn't hate the "enemy" we were fighting as military against military, because they were like we were, following orders.

I do however, hate terrorists & insurgents who indiscriminately blowing up innocent people, including children. They are not deserving of compassion, mercy, or forgiveness, as they show none. They are not soldiers following orders, they are criminals & should be treated as such.

God, Allah, the Creator, or whatever name you recognize as your religious deity, is not a vengeful or hateful being. What is happening in the name of Jihad (Holy War) is pure evil, and even if we withdraw, as much as I hate to say this, it will follow & continue to spread, because withdrawal to them is a sign of weakness and a claim to them of victory.

You can't be serious, can you? It would be the same question, as asking if a policeman hates everyone that they deal with. How absurd is that? I'm sure that they would hate anyone that is shooting at them, but to hate someone for the sole reason that they are the enemy is ridiculous. After all, look at Vietnam. If all of the previous military personnel "hated" the Vietnamese, then we wouldn't be going there on vacations now.

The lack of know-how of most of the people who spoke back your question is so telling that they bash what they do no longer understand. they have not have been given any carry close of the political technique, and have not have been given any concept how the protection tension suits into the photograph. They damned particular do no longer understand what freedom is approximately using fact they have constantly had it and don't be responsive to what it relatively is to lose it. guess who that they had be crying to if it comes right down to them having their freedoms taken away? those are the comparable ones that blast the law enforcement officers then cry for on the authentic of their lungs while they alter right into a sufferer of crime. they have on no account been out of their city or long previous right into a 0.33 international us of a the place people could scrape via accepted just to feed themselves. they gained't like my answer using fact they might't see down their upturned nostril. they think of they deserve each thing to be exceeded to them and have not have been given any concept what the words 'freedom isn't loose' potential. go forward and gripe kidlings. at some point you will pray for the very people you bash to get your sorry butt out of a jam.in line with threat, as consequently of your whining, there'll on no account be all and sundry to save you.

No I don't think so. I know some just feel like they are doing thier job and does that make it better when they have to kill them, I am not sure. But I think most professional soldiers know and understand what is going on.

I never hated the people we were fighting against. I didn't like them shooting at me, but I can't say I hated them.

hate is not quite correct... dislike the enemy yes. It's them or us and most soldiers prefer it to be them...

No. It's not about hate. It's about doing the job.
