Where is the place where dreams are born?

Update:

What motivates their creation? Having had dreams of places I haven't been, recognizing those places once I arrive in my travels. Certain things are different because of time, but recognizable as where I've been before.

A dream, most simply and unromantically, is simply the random firings of synapses durring the last few moments of your sleep. Thus, dreams are usually born from whatever you happen to have on your mind as you fall asleep. They are born in your head when your brian decides to test its various connections to make sure you are not dead.

The place where dreams are born, well they aren't born, they are simply images projected into video if you will of everything which we have seen, heard, felt, suppressed and so on.

Now a vision, that is different from dreams. I have visions as well as dreams and I know the difference in them. The visions come from God. Dreams comes from circumstance.

I think its in the memory channel, whatever you dream is actually everything you have seen before, and the memory channel takes random parts of your life that you might not even remember.
