Different spanish cultures use different way to say it but some ways are
Hola, Que onda?
Hola, Que pasa?
Hola, Que tal?
By the way you dont even have to say Hola you could say Hi or Hey and it would be understood. Also for the answers that were Hola, como estas? That would be incorrect if you were trying to say whats up because como estas means how are you but it is a greeting all the same so whatever.

Babel fish is great but it can be incorrect at times but it's better than wasting $15 dollars to find one word in Spanish. Just be warned that it isn't always correct.
