Easy Asian Snacks?

I am hosting a lingerie shower next month & the menu is candy/fake sushi. But, I want to balance out the sweet w/ a couple of savory offerings. Finger food would be best, but I am open to most anything.

Thanks!

Since you're going to have "fake" sushi... how about making some real sushi too.

Also, potstickers are good finger food. Little eggrolls or lumpia, deep fried wontons or crab rangoon...

Most of this stuff you can find in the freezer section of your supermarket, Costco or Trader Joe's.

Also, what I like non-Asian, are the mini-quiches, mini-puff pastry bites and mini-savory turnovers.

you could make ham & cheese rollers. To make these you take a slice of ham and place a slice of cheese on top and twist them into a roll and you stick a tooth oick in the middle to keep it toghether. you can alos get creative and add other things like pastrami pickles jelly fruit roll up or what ever you want.

    Hope this was helpful

    CRAB WONTONS

    8 oz. crabmeat

    1 pound cream cheese

    ¼ cup chopped cilantro

    Pinch of hot pepper (optional)

    Worcestershire sauce to taste

    Salt and pepper to taste

    8 ounces wonton wrappers

Vegetable oil for frying, as needed

Preheat a pot of vegetable oil or deep fryer to 350 degrees. Mix crabmeat, cream cheese, cilantro and hot pepper in a mixing bowl. Season mixture with Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper. Fill each wonton wrapper with 1 tsp of the crab mixture. Moisten one edge of each wonton wrapper with a little water or egg wash. Fold and seal each wonton. Fry them in oil until browned. Do not fry too many at one time. Drain on paper towels. Serve with dipping sauces such as plum or mustard.

Easiest thing I know is Onigiri (rice balls) You just cook rice, form small triangles out of it, and wrap nori (dried seaweed) around it.
