Dog people only: why do cats think they are better than us?

They are jealous of our blessings.

I'm with Innocent by Name. The Egyptians treated them like gods for so long that the cats bought it, and are now encoded to act the part. I would love to have one, even though I am more of a dog person, but I am the only person in my household of three who does not have an allergy to cats.

I am a dog/cat/squirrel/bird/all around animal person. Cats don't think they are better than us...good grief Charlie Brown. They just don't care is the point. Wish I had their attitude myself..and so does my dog.

Because they are not restricted to a leash, and can roam free where-ever and when-ever. They also don't have a bed time. They can come home whatever time they please. If they want to stay outside all night partying, they can without getting yelled at. You see where this is going? Hate to be a dog, much rather be a cat in my next life (-:

Tough question. If you don't establish dominance from the beginning it is more than likely your pet will turn you into their personal servant. Cats are notorious for this.

I'm a dog person. We have 2 dogs and 7 puppies.

LOL... I live in a household with 3 cats and 1 large, loveable, goofy, black Lab... They were all pretty much raised together and been together for so many years that the cats look upon her rather fondly actually...I think they think of her as THEIR "pet" LOLOLOL... and she's ok with that :)

Plus, of course, whenever she can get the grandkid's minds off of trying to find THEM, they are VERY "ok" with that too!

Cats are animals that in the wild are by themselves! I wouldnt say they think theyre better, imean can you really speak cat?! One thing is they dont have packs, so no system of whos on top of the list!

Arabs, Egyptions Pharohs domesticated cats to be their pets ..

I think these cats are still used to the royal treatment .. those early cats had probably dozens of slaves catering to all their needs..

( Also cats are like girls -- they think it is cool to be a snob )

I own dogs and cats. I do not think it is a question of they think they are better. I think it is more dogs are way more trusting and loyal. Cats by nature are untrusting and you need too build a trust. They are not going to run to you defend you or be your best buddy like our black lab does to us. It is just their nature, that is they way God made them.......

probably because of how they were treated in the past take egypt, they treated better than humans than lol thats what I figure

as a cat person I resemble that remark!
