leaking gas tank???/?
My daughter has a hole in her Grand Prix - 05 I think - can this be repaired or does it have to be replaced - she is going to college and has no money, of course I will again help her but I would like to know what to expect???

fuel tanks are only about 100.00+ i just put one in a ford truck it cost 103. at carquest

I fixed a hole on a 86 mustang with a steel tank with a kit permatex makes worked good never leaked again had the car for another 2 years.
whether i would do that to my daughters car is another story. mine was a small hole. on a old beater.
por-15 makes some real good stuff too.

have the tank replaced by a professional.. don't try to save money on this type of problem with any kind of patch job.. have her pay you back when she gets on her feet.... fuel leaks are very dangerous
