In the band of life?

what do you play? - We cannot all be the lead, so as host (S), shall I choose first? I pick percussion - twirling my tamborine and beating the living rythym from my red lacquered latin congas and bongos... I will sing in syncopation and counterpoint, echoing and embroidering on the melody.

I will be the ear that devours such beautiful sounds letting them sink deep into my soul and touch me where nothing physical could....

....after all, all bands/musicians need a reason to create and play

Conductor, I tend to make sure everyone is doing the right thing and I try to help them make better harmony with the others that are playing along with them. The only bad part is not many people care to much about the conductor. If I was playing an instrument it would be a violin, I can be very peaceful and relaxing, but at times very fast and loud, and screech when need to.

I will sing the background vocals, supporting my leaders song. When the music cries, I cry with it. My voice is soft and barely noticeable, but would be missed if not heard. The audience can see me from the corner of they're eyes and are comforted by my presence.

I'd play bassoon. It has a unique sound to it. It's difficult and cumbersome at first until you get used to it; it takes much getting used to. There's always something new you discover about it.

And when the bassoon is resting.

I definitely have to play cowbell.

    NEED MORE COWBELL!

I play bass and back up...

I echo back much of what is said, but occasionally more is slipped in with a deeper meaning.

I will write the lyrics, doing my work behind the scenes, and handing it over to others who will then use it to create something beautiful.
