It seems amazing that the authors of the work have to tell the reader how to interpret and not interpret their results; it’s as if they are saying, “Because we are obviously smarter than you, you can only see these results the way we want you to.” Furthermore, if evolutionary science is truly “self-testing,” then why is evolution itself somehow beyond this testing? The more evidence comes to light that the story of evolution is—just that—a story, the more evolutionists do everything but test the theory.

From the article:
Susan Anton, a New York University anthropologist and co-author of the Leakey work, said she expects anti-evolution proponents to seize on the new research, but said it would be a mistake to try to use the new work to show flaws in evolution theory.
“This is not questioning the idea at all of evolution; it is refining some of the specific points,” Anton said. “This is a great example of what science does and religion doesn't do. It's a continuous self-testing process.”

I've answered this question a number of times in the last few days.
These discoveries simply mean that H. habilis may have existed at the same time as H. erectus.
In no way does this question the legitimacy of evolution. It simply means that the two species possibly evolved at roughly the same time, as opposed to one after the other.

I'm SURE she didn't read the article, HypnoPope.
half way down, this appears:
“This is not questioning the idea at all of evolution; it is refining some of the specific points,” Anton said. “This is a great example of what science does and religion doesn't do. It's a continuous self-testing process.”
Had to laugh at the original attempt to post this Q with a blind link.
The misguiding continues.

This is not a new question. This is the answer to an old question. The popular press can no longer support the simple linear model.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the theory of evolution.
Why do people try to pick holes in something they clearly have no understanding of?

It will be to a certain degee, but man will try to discredit any truth in this. So overall, it doesn't change much for any true Evolutionist.
But one small thing for the Glory of God is to be thanked and praised.
Thanks for sharing the article.

science is based on evidence....PERIOD
evolution is just a theory....but then again, I would guess that you dont question that gravity exists though it is "just" a theory
religion is great, but it is based on faith, u need to admit that
also, shouldn't we be allowed to believe what we want....so please take "saving the misguided" off of your "to do" list
thanks for respecting my desires to have independent thought--I believe you too are entitled to your opinions
Good Luck

Maybe you should stop looking so hard for holes in everyone else's ideas and start looking at your own.

I think you are several days late and several rocks short of a full load.
