I am going to my manager's wedding and don't know how formal it will be. It's in San Francisco in September.

I've never really been to a wedding and don't know how dressy I should be. I really like this dress and it's reasonably priced. Also what should by boyfriend wear?

That is a great dress for day time or evening weddings. For evening you might want to take a little wrap. The dress is not to casual or dressy. For day time find some nice strappy sandals or something with kitten heels. It it it an evening wedding (6:00 or later put on some brown hose and matching heels and have a ball. As for BF, a nice brown sports jacket and open collared shirt, maybe tan is great for day time. If evening he needs to go with a suit if he has one. If not then stick with the sport coat.

Have fun and dance the night away!

If you can't ask your manager directly, time of day is a good indication of how formal a wedding is. An evening wedding is generally formal and I wouldn't suggest wearing a dress with any white in it (a little black dress is perfect for evenings). Your bf would want a suit and tie for this. Morning and afternoon ceremonies are perfect for this dress and your bf would probably want to wear khakis, dress shirt and a tie. If no meal is being served, smart casual dress is probably appropriate.

You need to ask the manager about it. Some weddings are outside and require less formal attire. Others are in large churches and require formal dress. A general rule of thumb though, is that if it is in church, men should wear suits with ties and women "Sunday" dresses, which means conservative colors, length, etc. If the wedding is in a judge's chambers, then dress is what the judge requires.

That dress and a simple wrap should be just fine. If you wore that, I'd say your guy should wear slacks/nice khakis with a button up shirt and a tie, which he can ditch for the reception.

San Francisco tends to be a very ecclectic place... I wouldn't be surprised if the wedding is "comfortable" in its attire. But when in doubt, certainly ask your manager.

I have been looking at nordstom's for a dress to wear to a wedding as well. I really like that dress! I like how they have the have to option to shop for an occasion.

I think your boyfriend would be fine with a shirt and tie, but as your manager just to be sure.

Ask them how formal. Usually a suit and tie for the guy and a dress for the girl.

That's pretty - have a jacket or shawl for the ceremony. Your boyfriend wears a suit, dress shirt and tie, and dress shoes.
