Where did you stay on your wedding night?

We're going back to our flat as our wedding is being held at my sister in law's home, just wondered where everyone else stayed!

Thank you

Sad but Funny story now, after almost 35 years this fall.

I stayed at HOME ! and he stayed at his HOME !

We eloped. and no one knew we were married, I was only a senior in high school, he was 8 years older than me. He had just got back from Viet Nam , been divorced for 2 years, had 2 children, 8 & 4, his Mom hired me to watch them during the day for the summer. I only knew him 3 months.

We had to leave Ohio to get married because you had to have one of your parents sign for you. Well, I knew, mine weren't. So we went to Michigan and got married!!!!!!! Thankfully and to the Good Lord it all worked out !, we have 3 Wonderful sons, ages 32, 31, & 27.

And we are resaying our wedding vows this fall in a mansion , with a Irish theme, kilts and all. And Guess What what ? We are Going Away Together ? Isn't that Great? I even have my parents Blessings (ha-ha).

We stayed in a hotel-it was the same room we had the whole week of the wedding-nothing fancy-but we didn´t want to move all of our stuff and spend the extra money on a room we just slept in-and finally, after 3 months abstaining-made love in.

When we go to Vegas again, we´re going to insist in staying in that same room-such great memories.

If there is any way to fib and tell people you´re staying somewhere else, DO and then go back to your flat. Sometimes people have been known to follow the bride and groom and disturb them-wouldn´t want that on your wedding night!

I stayed in a Bridal Suite at the Marines Memorial Club in San Francisco, where we were getting married. My hubby to be stayed in a hotel down the street (at the direction of my mother...lol), but it was less then a block away. The Groomsmen and my inlaws got ready all in the same hotel, and my brides maids got ready with me in the Bridal Suite. It was kind of fun. After the wedding we were surprised by my parents having arranged for us to stay in the suite deicated to my husband's unit. It was good for us to be apart before the wedding :)

We're getting married next Saturday, and have got the bridal suite booked at the hotel where the reception is being held.

We stayed in a Howard Johnson off the Garden State Turnpike because it was close to the airport. We didn't get to sleep and basically used it to shower and repack. We figured the real "wedding night" would be when we got to Kauai for our honeymoon!

We stayed at my wife's parents' house that night. Pretty romantic, huh? We had to wake up very early in the morning to catch our plane out to the honeymoon and they were driving us. We had plenty of time to ourselves on the honeymoon.
