Is this another indication that "the surge" is going well?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070816/ap_on_re_mi_ea...
"The carnage dealt a serious blow to the Bush administrations hopes of presenting a positive picture in a progress report on Iraq to be delivered by the top U.S. commander, Gen. David Petraeus, and U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker in about four weeks."
Will Bush try to paint a Rosy picture of what is going on in Iraq to Congress and the American People?

it seems to me that Bush couldn`t care less about security or how many people die in Iraq (Iraqis or Americans )either that or The American Government are even more stupid than people say. why i think this .way ( i think they know exactly what they`re doing) is due to the fact that they have installed radical Islamists to lead the country .The Da-wa party have allways been radical and have always had strong ties with Iran ,its been long known that the militias are government run if they want the violence to stop why dont they deal with it from the source..These people who America is supporting are of the same party as the
Iraqi Shia expatriates who formed the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI), which developed a paramilitary wing, the Badr Corps. Badr conducted guerrilla attacks inside Iraq against the Baath. The Da`wa Party leadership was also active in TehrÄn and was involved in anti-U.S. terrorist actions in Kuwait and Lebanon in reprisal for U.S. support and weapons sales to Iraq. some of the people who are in the Iraqi government now .were refugees in Iran at that time
The latest news is President Bush has informed the UN that he has classed the Iranian Guard as a terrorist group because he says that the Iranian Government are helping the insurgents .add everything up and .to me it looks like he`s turning a blind eye to what the Iraqi government are up to and creating justification to attack Iran .

It is obvious that everything is not Rosie however I think that this is not even near the area where the surge is taking place to stabilize the cities and towns where terrorists are out in the open-known to be operating and trying to establish control locally not just stopping by to blow something up. Sure will set the back drop though.

No, clearly the surge is causing more carnage in other parts of Iraq. It's like squeezing a balloon. Baghdad is "pacified" somewhat, but the violence is pushed out to the edges of Iraq.
Bush has changed the rules once again. Petraeus won't be giving his report to Congress, he'll report only to the President and the President will filter his conclusions.

Seriously, what kind of a moron would still believe anything Bush says about Iraq?

You do realise war is a messy thing right? The troops over there aren't playing Rock, Paper, Scissor for control of Iraq right? The Al Qaeda operatives over there aren't sitting around singing Kumbyah, they're attacking whatever target is available. That's the kind of stuff that happens in war. The fact many areas outside of Baghdad are becoming secure and Al Qaeda free is proof the surge is working.

Do you really hope the American Military loses?
Maybe I am assuming intent in your question, but I would give the military 100% support no matter what they are doing.
Anything in the negative direction is a horrible thing for US service members.
You may disagree with Bush but try and remember there are real true Americans out there risking their lives and should not have politics played with them.

I don't trust this administration at all. Not about 911, not about wmd in Iraq, not about "the world is better place without Saddam", not about anything. They are liars. Period
