Democrats vs. Republicans...?

I like it! I also like "Republicans are the party of bad ideas. Democrats are the party of no ideas."

The prevailing philosophies of the parties:

Republican: free market capitalism and Christian moral values.

Democrat: quasi socialism and secular humanist values.

Libertarian: Government should do little to nothing at all.

All three have their problems (with various extremes in each). For me, although I do not like unrestrained free market capitalism at all costs, I prefer the Republicans.

Republicans and Democrats are both pretty much one extreme or another. I believe that they should seriously start coming up with a more moderate and realistic party that can express the true views of most Americans.

I think that makes a lot of sense except for the caveat that: Republicans (at least the dream of the good ole GOP) like your father want to teach you responsibility so you can eventually strike out on your own in fact they can't wait until you get out of the house and Democrats like Mom want you to be their little dependent baby forever"
