REVELATIONS; what is your Interpretation?
Please give your interpretations of the "Christian" Revelations. Please, think carefully as to symbolic and literal meanings as they are two different sides of the coin.
Also Consider carefully the Christian "Bibles" entire works, or the works you have read and determine if that work is intended as Literal or symbolic as it is important you see what you read.
A brief of that Chapter should do.
Thanks in advance.

Look, if you want a dissertation on Revelation or the while Bible, you might want to visit a library, preferably the library of a Christian college that is accredited. However, unless the text of any given passage states that it's metaphorical or symbolic (and will usually contain an explanation of the metaphor or symbols) it's best to assume that it's literal. For example, Jesus taught in parables, said they were parables and explained the parables. Revelation contains some things that are literal and some that are symbolic or figurative. It is relatively clear in the passages which is which, though some things are stated with the disclaimer "...Let him who has wisdom understand..." and these things might be literal or might not, but definitely not something that will be easily recognized.

Revelation...Symbolic Prophecy: the completion of the Drama which began back when God called Abraham, and began His revelation to humanity, making Himself known and making a way to approach Him. This Book lays out what will occur at the close of the Age in symbolic form, according to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...Father of Yeshua. The Book of Daniel is similar in giving prophetic symbolism.

John, who wrote this rather hallucinatory tripe, had witnessed Nero's rather brutal suppression of the Christian cult. He was somehow convinced that Nero would not remain dead and would return to resume the persecution of the Christians. Given the politics of the time, and perhaps his own paranoia, John could not spell out his ideas directly, but had to resort to metaphorical and symbolic means.
Later Christians, convinced that all of this stuff was a prediction of the end of the world, delight in pointing out how the vague predictions and warnings apply to their own times.

It seams pretty clear that John was talking about the Roman empire. There are many parallels to Nero and Rome burning and the nations in existence at the time.
To top it off, John claimed that Jesus would be returning before he died, in revelations, which shows that he thought that the vision was near the end.

Revelations describes the persecutuion of Christians by the Roman Empire, it is NOT prophecy that holds true to today's world.

It is the Book Of Revelation, not Revelations.
