I can tell you what helped me.
Get involved with a group of smart, experienced and dedicated classmates.
This was forced on me as an undergrad and I had varying success with it, but the experience as a grad student was extremely helpful. Not only did the group help each other with school, I can say I am a better parent, wife, and a more well rounded person because of their friendships and experiences.

focus on studies really but take time to appriate where you are. Remember you are there to study and to be successful but still you only have one time in your life that youre there really
