Why don't you try giving your dog rice with his chicken? Over cook it a little so it becomes 'gluey' and mix it with the chicken. It actually sticks to the chicken a bit, making it hard for the dog to pick out what he prefers. It certainly works for my Westie.

It depends on who you talk to. Some say that raw eggs will make the skin and coat more shiny. Others will say that raw eggs in any form are not good because of salmonella. I'd call the vet's office and ask them. Eggs are high in protein, so a nice scrambled egg wouldn't hurt in the food. You can find it in cans of cat and dog food.

I would only give your dog a raw egg twice a week. Put a tablespoon of vegetable oil on his dinner that will help his coat to. Try tripe from the pet shop as a treat.

Raw eggs aare part of a dog's natural diet - complete with shells which are a good source of calcium. Like everythng else, they should be given in moderation though - 2 or 3 a week is plenty. Don't pander to your dog! Give him his food and if he hasn't eaten it, take it up and don't feed him again until his next meal is due. Many young male dogs are fussy eaters, if you don't give him a choice he'll learn to eat what you give him. Giving in to him is just teaching him to be picky.

Raw eggs: Raw eggs can cause salmonella poisoning in dogs. Dogs have a shorter digestive tract than humans and are not as likely to suffer from food poisoning, but it is still possible.

If you want to feed raw eggs only feed the yolk to the dog. The yolk does not contain advidin (which is in egg whites and does not allow vitamin b to be absorbed-something dogs need) and is safe. You can feed boiled or scrambled whole eggs too.

I think raw eggs will be OK. I took my dog to the stores and a egg dropped out of a lady's basket on the ground and my dog ate it all up without being sick.

I feed raw organic egg twice a week. I also dry the shells in the oven on low heat for 20 minutes and grind the shells in a pestal and mortor. This makes a wonderful calcium suppliment.
