1930s were Hotter than Past 10 Years!!! Did Global Wamers Hide that Fact?

4 of the hottest 10 years on record are from the 1930s.

Only 3 of the past 10 years are in the top 10.

of course because bush was not president then

so they will sweep it under the rug...

that was gores mistake trying to politicize it

and probably did more harm in setting the whole issue back by 50 years

The NOAA says otherwise. The NOAA says that the oceans have not been this warm in recorded history. Signs are that the growth rate of carbonaceous organisms, which used to absorb the CO2 from the atmosphere, can't keep up because the oceans are so polluted that the corals are dying all across the planet.

In another 1000 years or so, Earth could end up looking very much like Venus. Long before then, however, the sea levels will rise (the polar ice caps did not melt in the 1930s) to a point that New York will be under water. (Applause from the idiots). So will the entire state of Florida, DC, The Outer Banks and most of South Carolina.

And that's just for starters. As the tundra melts (and Siberia is already soggy), it releases hundred of thousands of tons of methane per acre, and methane is the most active greenhouse gas known to science.

It's you neocon nutcases that are the liars. Many of you know exactly what is happening, but you think that before things turn really bad, the trump will sound, Jesus on his white winged horse will come down to take all of the good people to heaven to eat toffee and gingersnaps for eternity, and all of us liberal abortionmongers will be left behind.

Hey! Maybe you're right, and then we'll be able to put the world to rights without you nutcases making it impossible to progress.

I wish it, but in the meantime I remain convinced that God's work must truly be our own, and He wants us to be good stewards of the world.

We'll see. When you guys are told to stand on the left side with the rest of the goats, you will at last understand. Destroying the world is not a good idea, you'll likely fry, roast, bake, broil and fricassee downstairs for it. That's what you believe are the wages of sin, don't you?

Allow me to quote a response from your own article:

"Sorry, NASA did not and would not give credence to this quack. Read the actual science bud. First off, the temperature difference was always within the standard deviation and the 2001 reporting explicitly stated that the difference between the 1934 US temp and the more recent US temp could be explained by a standard deviation error. And second off the GLOBAL trends remain the same, despite this mountain McIntyre is trying to make out of a molehill. The so-called hockeystick is still there in the charts, even with the revised 1934 US figure. The world doesn’t end at the Canadian-Mexican borders, Yanks."

Everyone has an opinion on global warming either pro or con and none of those opinions by laymen mean a thing with regard to the science and researchers data that has taken years to compile and many many agencies cooperating across the world to obtain and verify. Even with that the debate as to whose fault it is, from mankind in general to Norwegian moose farts (seriously, look it up) we continue to search for an invisible bad guy to chastise. I would a whole lot rather debate practical solutions that are do-able then I would the scientists information of which we get only a spattering in the first place. Any one can find a single article that agrees with the point of view they have and wave it around saying "See...I was right?" I don't pretend to know who is right but we apparantly have a problem we should be working to solve no matter what you call it or what caused it so let's concentrate on that shall we?

Did they hide it? Well, they may have been working with incorrect information in the past. I thought the data was flawed or entered wrong in the past and was just recently corrected. The media reported the new data as being the truth, thank goodness, so no one could hide it.

    1930-1939

We still have 08 and 09.

Write back in 2010 and compare then.

The local news here in IN stated we have had 29 straight days of over 90 degree heat and that is a record for us since the keeping of records in the 1800's. Today and tomorrow are to be over 95, so add that too. For 31 straight days and less than a half inch of rain for the month.

Twist it and spin it, truth is it is f*ing hot.

Unfortunately this data only relates to the USA, the global temperature still falls in line with current temperature charts.

A good thing is that it does put more holes in Al Gores rubbish that he keeps telling people. I don't mind both sides getting there points across but Al Gore hide or altered so many key point to make his point that it was almost fictional.

I know that here in Texas, in 1999 i think it didnt get below 100 degrees during the day in the shade for over 2 months. There was also a time in the 1980's as a kid it was hotter than this....I think that "Global Warming" goes in phases, it is not as bad as the left wing red diaper doper tree hugging babies portay it to be.

I think it's kind of quaint that there are some who still insist that 'Global warming' doesn't exist. However, I quote, from the NOAA's website:

Global surface temperatures have increased about 0.6°C (plus or minus 0.2°C) since the late-19th century, and about 0.4°F (0.2 to 0.3°C) over the past 25 years (the period with the most credible data). The warming has not been globally uniform. Some areas (including parts of the southeastern U.S.) have, in fact, cooled over the last century. The recent warmth has been greatest over North America and Eurasia between 40 and 70°N. Warming, assisted by the record El Niño of 1997-1998, has continued right up to the present, with 2001 being the second warmest year on record after 1998.

Linear trends can vary greatly depending on the period over which they are computed. Temperature trends in the lower troposphere (between about 2,500 and 26,000 ft.) from 1979 to the present, the period for which Satellite Microwave Sounding Unit data exist, are small and may be unrepresentative of longer term trends and trends closer to the surface. Furthermore, there are small unresolved differences between radiosonde and satellite observations of tropospheric temperatures, though both data sources show slight warming trends. If one calculates trends beginning with the commencement of radiosonde data in the 1950s, there is a slight greater warming in the record due to increases in the 1970s. There are statistical and physical reasons (e.g., short record lengths, the transient differential effects of volcanic activity and El Niño, and boundary layer effects) for expecting differences between recent trends in surface and lower tropospheric temperatures, but the exact causes for the differences are still under investigation (see National Research Council report "Reconciling Observations of Global Temperature Change").

You didn't read the first link in it's entirety. Even though NASA made a mistake in their data, the science of global warming is still relevent.
