I think that is too large of an investment to make in something you have never really seen. Just think if the thing is horribly uncomfortable, or the pattern isn't quite right, or it's made out of really junky material that won't last a year! Then just imagine trying to send it back. lol

I think the idea is more of a headache than your bargaining for.

Personally the value is probably fine, I just won't buy anything like that without sitting on it. I have sat on some very uncomfortable couches lately and they were new and great to look at too. I just need my furniture to be comfy. So, that is my opinion. Go try it out. Sometimes Gig Lots in larger towns has furniture and some nice stuff too with good prices. I am a bargain hunter. There is a Jenny sofa site too that sells sofas very reasonable and they ship. good luck!

Yes, I bought a couch and 2 leather recliners. The couch arrived with a big rip. They offered to replace it or or give me credit. I had them replace it. The men brought it in and put it where it belongs. The chairs arrived in perfect condition, but in 2 parts. Then men brought them in and put them together for me. I got to keep the cushions, by the way, from the first ripped couch, so I have 4 instead of 2. Everything was exactly as pictured, and exactly what I wanted.

Source(s): I did measure my space carefully, and compared their stated measurements to mine, so everything fit exactly as planned.

I've always been pretty happy with anything, including home items, that I've gotten from JC Penney - clocks, small accent furniture pieces, draperies, etc. Obviously, Penney's isn't Pottery Barn, but it is somewhat nicer quality than, say, Target. Shipping is usually kind of spendy at Penney's, so wait for a free shipping promotion - they come every couple of months or so. I would say it's not too much of a risk. Good luck!

No. But, I puchased a recliner, two Wing Back chairs, and a matching ottoman, from a JC Penney Catalog. I liked them!
