Who has the best jersey in Major league baseball?

We've all seen the uniforms of every team in the "bigs".

What do you think is the best one?

They should hang up and retire when either they a) no longer perform or b) no longer have a love for the game. I never put much emphasis on my "favorite player." However, I did really enjoy Don Mattingly, as did the entire state of NY. In 1995 the Yankees were one of the first two wildcard teams in MLB history. This provided Don Mattingly an opportunity to make the playoffs for the first time and possibly get to a World Series thus cementing him into the Hall of Fame. The Yankees were eliminated by Ken Giffey Jr. and the Seattle Mariners. After the 1995 season the Yankees traded Sterling Hitchcock and Russ Davis for some guys named Tino Martinez and Jeff Nelson. Mattingly subsequently retired, but not immediately. Although Tino was booed the first few months in pinstripes (He was getting off to a slow start, and mix that with the fact he 'replaced' our beloved captain and well, I did say the entire state loved him...) the Yankees ended up winning the World Series in 1996, a year after Mattingly retired. Another tibit, the year before Mattingly was a rookie, the Yankees lost to the Dodgers in the World Series. Oh, and as far as my new favorite Yankees? I had two. On May 16, 1996 I met Andy Pettitte and Derek Jeter at the Broadway Mall in Hicksville, Long Island. Needless to say I watched these two individuals very closely after speaking with them and getting their autograph. And the rest, my friend, is baseball history.

This is just like every other similar question...all your going to get is my favorite team has the best jersey. Everyone is biased here so its tough to get a consensus answer to this question.

I'm a Red Sox fan, and I have to say that the green jerseys they wear sometimes are pretty awesome, but the normal everday ones are kinda boring. I don't think any team really stands out right now in having great uniforms. Some of the old one's were pretty awesome, with my favorite being the ones the Pirates wore in the 70's. Those were some pretty sweet hats they wore back then.

The black Giants jerseys, the ones they wore 2 years ago and in spring training.

EDIT: I agree with Kris on the old school Padres jerseys. That is possibly the best colorway of all time in any sport.

As much as I dislike the yankees; thier home uniform is classic. hasnt changed in over 100 years.

Same goes for The Tigers home uniform. classic white with the Old English "D"--hasnt changed in over 100 years.

I dig The Cardinals too---birds on a bat!

I'm a Braves fan, so this one will sound odd, but I LOVE the black Mets jerseys.
