Democrats desire for U.S. to lose the war in Iraq?

I overheard some democrats talking about how they want the US to lose the war in Iraq, so they have greater chance at winning the elections in 2008.

Update:

Paige, i never said all democrats think that, but i know some of them do (especially the ones who are running for president)

Update 2:

Yo St. Bastard, (if that is your real name) i have a question for you. Do you think if we found weapons of mass destruction we would release the were abouts of them to the public? that kind of information is top secret. Oh and i know that the people i heard saying this were democrat because i know them personally.

It's sad. Typical democrat though. They would rather see troops, who are fighting in our country's honor, die for no reason, than to lose a seat in the office.

They've long-since convinced themselves otherwise, but yes, you're right. They're tickled pink at how badly the war looks in the public eye, and they're shamelessly doing everything they can to stir the poo and capitalize on it. What I find even more appalling, however, is how blind most Americans CHOOSE to be--not only do they take every line fed to them by these crooks and the TV shows they watch, but they're too blind to even see obvious conniving anymore. They handpick one or two dissenting voices from war vets and make it out to seem as though that's the consensus--and believe me, most veterans of this war are highly disgusted at the Democratic Party and most of the American people right now, more so than they are at Bush. Most of us who have been there want to see all of our efforts and sacrifices go to something, want to see success of the mission--and continually being hamstrung by self-serving, petty-minded, smug politicians back home is absolutely infuriating. The American press is absolutely no better--I've seen how they behave when they visit Iraq and just how "unbiased" they really are in person. They go there wanting to get a specific story, and they have no trouble finding that and only that, completely overlooking anything else of a more positive light. The backstabbing, infighting, and close-minded selfish pettiness running rampant in this country will continue to be our primary downfall.

The democrats of today are shadows of their counterparts 40-50 yrs ago. I have not seen a democrat that I would even talk to let alone listen to in the last 20 yrs. They breed in the sorrow of lost soldiers and fuel the fire of discontent in our country today. They love to complain all day long on how bad everything is, but can't utter anything other that "Increase Taxes" to solve all the problems that they seem to consistently create. Too bad, feel free to comment!!

The Democrats are terrified of success in Iraq. It would make them all look like fools.

Have you ever heard a Democrat politician asking for proof when the troops are accused of war crimes?

Have you noticed that the Democrats never allocated one penny to repair the barracks at Walther Reed?

haha...there has been, and nonetheless are gays interior the militia. i'm no longer a huge fan of the existence-style yet i think of they're purely as powerfuble as the different guy or woman. i'm no longer sue why you may think of introducing gays into the militia might fee us the conflict. i think of the idiots in congress, the senate an the militia coverage council are costing us the conflict in Iraq. this might't be a severe question i think of you're purely attempting to incite a insurrection....

Do you think the war in Iraq is going well? Nah, neither do I. That's why Democrats want to get out. That and we invaded under wrong premises in the first place, so we shouldn't be there anyway.

If someone tells you that Democrats want the US to lose anything, then that someone is a Republican trying to smear the other guy.

It doesn't surprise me at all. Many Democrats would do anything to make Bush and the Republicans look inept.

That's politics. Shrewd idiotic politicians are soulless and heartless but I don't think much higher of Republicans either.

    To Sjean,

They do a good job of that all by themselves.

  • 1 decade ago

I think they mean they want our inevitable loss to be quicker, rather then later.

And to the first post, they want to end the war, thus the republicans are more likely to "rather see" soldiers killed.

I'm so sick and tired of this war I could just crap myself and die.
