If we have free will, why don't we all qualify for every career?

Free will to me sounds like a restaurant buffet or a shopping mall (stores or food court). All choices would be equally accessible. But there are jobs we might select (be interested in) but not be accepted for, because not all of us are strong and quick. And what about children born with learning disabilities?

Free Will means you have the ability to persue any field you choose (in this case), and does not mean you will succeed in every field. It's about choice, not success. The abcense of Free Will would mean regardless of how good or bad at something you were, you would not be allowed to persue it.

I don't see what one has to do with the other. Having free will means having the ability to make moral choices: to obey God's commandments or not to obey them, to tell the truth or to lie, to be faithful in your marriage or not to be faithful, and so on.

All choices may be equally accessible, but that is not to say that all choices are equally moral. Go to a buffet, and you have your choices of foods, but all are not equally nutritious. You can choose foods high in fat and cholesterol, or you can make healthier choices. In the same way, you have opportunities every day to choose between two things that may not have the same moral value, but you have the ability to make the choice.

Where jobs are concerned: if you are interested in a given job, then you should use your free will to do whatever it takes to be qualified for the job.

I know somebody personally that has a disability, but that doesn't mean that he has given up on himself. I dont mean to be rude when I say this, but dont you dare say people are unable to do things. If you're talking about people being excluded from jobs because there are people better, that doesn't mean crap.

People only ever look at their problems and refuse to look at others.

Everybody is able to get anywhere aslong as they try hard and refuse to give up. I'm guessing you through of a situation in where a guy got a job over another dude, because he was more skilled, however, the first guy may have worked himself to near death to get what he wanted.

I know of many impared persons who are doing well in their life, and it doesn't necessarily mean that somebody with a handicap cant get anywhere in life.

If you dont get a job one, the idea that I run by is, you keep going until your dust (I personally am too young to find a job, but regardless, I dont give up).

If you truely feel strongly about something, then prove it that you want it and work hard for it!

Free will isn't for everybody, its only for the strong. You keep working hard, and you there is no reason why you cant achieve it.

Source(s): I never gave up, and I'm doing fine now. "To beat talent, you need hard work. If that doesn't work, you weren't working hard enough." Thats worked for me so far.

Free will means that you have the ability to make decisions, not a right to do whatever you want to do. Free will means that you have the ability to make a decision on your own based off of the information presented in front of you. It is about personal accountability for yourself. You CHOSE whether or not you are going to go to school. You CHOSE whether or not you are going to engage in a particular behavior. And you accept the consequences of that decision.

Free Will means we are able to make choices and be responsible for those choices.

It is up to you to chose a career and don't squawk about it if that career choice doesn't pan out.

You were given free will by God so he can judge you by your choice to follow good or evil, every other choice is secondary in the eyes of God.

Free will only exists within the constraints imposed by the Field.

It is an illusion at best, often little more than a joke.

Because others have free will as well and can turn you down.

    Free will doesn't mean omni-cognisance.

Free will simply implies that we may chose anything.

You can choose to go for that job, but it don't mean you'll get it!
