Now that Bush 2 has told us we're going to be in Iraq more or less forever, are you happy or sad?

How is it possible for the will of the American people to be ignored to this extent?

Update:

Can you guess WHO is going to pay for the "Forever War in Iraq"? With our economy collapsing, where will the future trillions of war dollars come from? When the "Forever War" necessitates a new Draft Law, will you be happy when YOUR sons and daughters are blown up, shot, beheaded, or otherwise offed in Iraq?

To answer your last question, just substitute George W Bush in the role of Senator Palpatine in the Star Wars movies, and you see how the progression of power could take place, and how the will of the American people could be ignored.

As for Iraq, we shouldn't have gone there in the first place - no WMD or Bin Laden. Bush was just trying to un-emasculate his father for his father's failings in the first Gulf War.

Yes, perhaps Saddam was a ruthless dictator, but it's not our place to tell the entire world how to run themselves, the country is worse off now than it was before, it's cost us TRILLIONS of dollars and lives.

Bush needs to go before he completely destroys our great country!

Its sad, Bush and his mates have ruined the lives of thousands if not millions of american, allied and iraqi people by jumping into a war that wasn't needed. Its another vietnam and it may come to a point where all troops are pulled out iraq will fall apart. America is britains biggest friend but I gotta say US policy should just butt out and leave other countries to their own ****. And whatever happened to those WMD's and al-queda in Iraq?

DISGUSTED. I hope the American people who voted for Bush are happy. We have a clueless president who thinks he is the Great Oz. It's funny. My 11 year old had a history assignment and the question was, "Why is it important to study history?" In discussing the topic I said to her, "It's important to know about things like Vietnam so we won't repeat the same mistakes." She then looked at me and said, "Like we're doing now in Iraq." If an 11 year old can see it.....God help us.

It should have been expected, We still have troops in Korea and that war was over 40 years ago, we will have troops in Afghanistan and Iraq for a very long time.

Considering all the upcoming president canidates have mentioned their policy on getting our troups on home soil when they are put in office, I don't think they will be there forever. But they still will be in Iraq for a long time.

Its just the will of people who do not understand how the world work and who want to go back to the summer of love. San Fransisco is still there.

I do admit I miss the cold war sometimes. We should have let the Shah put down that rebellion and let the USSR have Afghanistan.

If we had ,we would not be having these problems today.

    oh yes that was Carter.

#1 Do you honestly expect the prestedent to tell us his plans over national Tv when you know the enemy is watching our media...they admit it and say they plan their attacks with what's going on in America.

#2 Have you ever been in a fight with some jerk and you try to be the biger person and just back away....Don't they come back at you harder and stronger in your face screaming oh I won and continue to fight with you...same senerio

I dont think we can back out unless we win. What do you think will happen if we back out.. the terrorits say..Oh ok cool see ya. No they will cheer they won we suck and come after us because they feel they beat us.
