why does my cat bite me?

he likes u....but maybe he a lil too affectionate...my 2 kittens like to run up to me and bite at my feet...but i know they are playfull

This cat is biting you because she can. Have a squirt bottle of water handy and squirt her whenever she starts to bite. You can also say "NO" loudly and forcefully to get her attention. Then put her down. You might need to be content to have her on your lap and away from your face. If she bites your fingers you can push your finger into her mouth until she makes gagging noises. This doesn't hurt her but helps her realize she shouldn't do that.

Or perhaps she's giving you love bites?

Sometimes cats will attack if provoked (maybe you touched the cat on underbelly or on a sore spot) or if they get overexcited. If you are playing rough with the cat, the cat may either be defending itself from overly rough play or getting overexcited. If it is a gentle bite, it is probably a love bite. At 17 weeks, your cat is really still a kitten, kittens get overexcited much easier than full grown cats do.

My Simba Sos is 12 but he still likes to give little love bites. They do it cos they love you. As soon as I stop cuddling Simba Sos he gives me a little bite and a nudge so that I will go back to cuddling him - I've let him get away with this all his life, so there'll be no changing him now! I also get a bite or two in the morning to get me out of bed to feed him. It's my nose that usually gets nibbled at.

Nothing is wrong, she LOVES you. My cat does the same thing. When we play he bites me I just tell him "don't bite hard" and he just nips me gently, I call it "love bites"

is she playing and is she on the crazy wacko side cuz my cat does the same thing but she is crazy and she only bites after you stop petting her

the cat likes you and is playing she is only a baby.

she will grow out of this so do not worry
