Floating rib pain?
I have pain coming from my right floating rib, if feels like a bruise right where the rib tip ends, because it's not severe pain I haven't gone to the doctor, but now that it's been hurting for about 2 1/2 months I'm starting to get worried. Should I be worried? What is it? And if I went to the doctor is there even anything he can do?

cracked rib? any contact to that rib? go to the doctor, at least he can give you a prognosis. If it is a cracked or a bruised rib, he will probably just wrap you up, and tell you to avoid contact sports. and try not too breathe too deeply.

you may have torn the entercostal muscle or cartilage. It will take months to heal, but really nothing you can do but wait.
