Bleeding during pregnancy?
Ok, on Sept. 9th I had some spotting. I went to the ER and my hormone levels were good and my cervix was closed. I had my levels checked 2 more times and they doubled each time. But in between the 2nd and 3rd test, I passed a clot and I've been spotting since the 9th. It's usually pink but dark red, almost purple at times. I get an ultrasound on Friday but I can't take 2 more days of this. Has anyone ever experienced something like this and had a healthy pregnancy?
I also bled with my son but it was never red and I never passed clots. And it never lasted this long.
Please help put my mind at ease!
I should say that I went to the ER after the clot and they just told me the same thing. My cervix is closed and my numbers are good.
Should I try to find a new doctor and get in today? My doctor doesn't seem very concerned. He didn't want to even do an ultrasound at all until I pushed for one.

Go to the emergency room, now. It's better to not take chances than to wait.

This is tricky. Some women bleed because of their cervix. Try to irritate the cervix as little as possible, no sex, no excess cleaning, no pushing too hard to do number two's. Just let it heal. The cervix has extra blood in it and bleeds easy in pregnancy. As for other issues, it can be clots in the uterus coming out and lots of other things. Just get loads of sleep and rest and water. If you don't drink water, start because I heard being dehydrated can encourage threatened miscarriage. Good luck and congrats.

I think you should go to the
ER today, not in two days. You need to know for your own piece of mind. I had two miscarriages and that is how they both started, by passing red blood...but that does not mean that you are having a miscarriage...but you need to go to checked.

It is not normal to bleed and pass clotting during pregnancy.
See your Doctor soon as possible.
