Recommendation for a destination while journeying through South Vietnam?

I’ll be in Vietnam in a couple days and stay for a little more than a month. My wife and I will have our honeymoon while I’m there. The honeymoon will be traveling around South Vietnam for a few weeks eventually ending up in Quang Tri to review a project that I’m involved with and then take a flight to Hanoi. We plan to see at least the following places:

· Vung Tau

· Da Lat

· Nha Trang

· Hoi An

· Da Nang

· Hue

I was wondering if anyone knows an interesting place or places that my wife and I should include in this journey. Keep in mind that my wife is native Vietnamese and I’ve seen enough small villages, pagodas, rivers and rice paddies in Vietnam to fulfill my lifetime quote. I don’t want the typical tour guide answer, but something different and interesting. So put your thinking caps on and help my wife and I add more flavor to our journey through South Vietnam.

well, i was in vietnam 2 summers ago and theres a natural waterfall in south vienam called thac yangbay and theres this stream called suoi nguon thats also in nha trang-ish (at both of them if you are lucky you could see real jungle people lurking around). and when you're in hue you should totally go to the imperial tombs theyre amazing. And when you are in da nang there is a huge mountain made out of marble called ngu han son (but theres a sign that says: marble mountains) that you have to walk like a million steps to get to and when you get up top you could see a beautiful view of the ocean.

I hope you guys have funn!!! =D

You have a good sampling. Phu Quoc Island might be of interest if you want to go to a quiet place.

When in Quang Tri, if you have time jump up to Quang Binh and Dong Hoi. Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and the cave are interesting. And check out the QB Cafe in Dong Hoi (my friend's place - but good food if you want a change!)

I recommend that you say you are going to southern Vietnam. As you know, "South Vietnam" ceased to exist in 1975.

I am in Ha Noi and love it. While here, as you may know, there are lots of things to see and do. A weekend trip to Sapa is well worth it if you haven't been there.

Are you going to look at Peace Trees?

these places in your list are in the Middle of Vietnam, not in the South.

well, ur wife's native Vietnamese, so, i think Da Lat & Hoi An are the best places for honey moon. Da Lat has pleasant weather as well as rich of forest/fall/lake. Many romantic scences for you to share the happy moment. Hoi An is a peaceful ancient town, not noisy, more over Cua Dai beach & Lang Co beach are in Top beaches list. A beach only for 2 of you, wow, wonderful ^^

you will be able to desire to consistently have a holiday spot to have a journey even while your no longer attentive to what the holiday spot is going to be. i at the instant chanced on, that the holiday spot makes the journey. So destinate, create goals, that permit for happiness alongside the way, is my specific philosophy, although no longer fault information.
