There's no official date set yet, it's believed that Christopher Paolini's still in the process of writing it. Early rumours are that the title will be 'Empire' (another six-letter word starting with 'E').

Remember, they thought the new Dan Brown book (provisionally entitled 'The Solomon Key' was going to be published for christmas 2006. It's still being written now...).
