about working out..... I am new to it 52yrs old what do I ...?
expect I should get my heart rate up to to burn fat? I am up to 30 min a day going very fast walking, about 42 mph with a 3.5 incline. I get wet all over when I am done but I wonder what I should do to get better and work on my chest and belly.

The whole ‘get your hart rate to a certain level to burn fat vs ??’ is bull.
The purpose of finding your hart rate is so that you can sustain exercise for a longer period of time. The longer you work the more calories you burn….period. burn more than you take in and belly gets smaller. Eat more than you burn and belly get bigger. It is that simple.
For your age you should be shooting for 140-145 sustained for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
You need to add in some weight training. muscle burns fat too.
There are as many methods as there are people but I would recommend at least 4-5 exercises of 15 reps and 2 sets. Use light weights and move slow. Also concentrate on the area you are working and try to make it burn. The lighter weights will reduce possible injury, get you a great workout and work.
Last thing is eat right. That is the key to all this. Eat right and do this excursive and you will lose 2 lbs a week.

You first need to concentrate on losing the fat through cardio. It sounds like you are doing a good job of that. Keep up your power walks and add more time to your walking as you get stronger. You must increase your workout to get results. Once you have lost the fat, you can concentrate on building muscle through resistance. Good luck!

go to a fitness center and there will be a personal trainer that will help you get started with what you need to do for a start and as time goes on you increase the weights to where you want to be. I have done this and now just go by myself and work at what weights I can handle and done very well. after you get to working if desired you can do it at home with weights, but to start with noone helping you getting the right start will do you no good, so get a pro start first and go your own after if you desire.

use variety to really increase your results. alternate btwn cardio and weight workouts on different days. also, it is possible to overwork your heart by being OVER your target heart rate. don't always assume that lots of sweating or breathing hard is a good thing. to stay interested, try swimming, biking, and weights.
