What should be the ENGLISH National Anthem, and why? Should a new one be written?

the national anthem at the moment really is the english one because england really does control the rest of the UK thats y i believe all the rest have their own song. and when the queen does die and charles takes over they only have to change one word from queen to king. it shud stay the same forever

You must be kidding. First of all, "O, Canada" has English lyrics and French lyrics. You can sign it either way. Second, you do realize that there is an entire Canadian territory that speaks French, right? Third, you realize that Canada is not merely the US's backyard. It's a country in its own right.

Why should God save the Queen,,what makes her so bloody special,,she has done diddly squat for us,,yes lets get a new anthem how about Ferry across the Mersey,,does not mention the Queen once,I would be happy
