Which household chore do you hate the most and what do you do to make it more tolerable?
I don't know why, it doesn't seem logical but I hate doing the dishes. I will do everything else first and will avoid doing the dishes until I cannot avoid it any longer. Yes, I am avoiding it right now, by writing this question. I do not like using the dishwasher becuase it seems to prolong the process. You rinse, load, wait 45 minutes or so, unload, and no matter what I do there are a few dishes that need to be rewashed. I could just wash it by hand in less time than the dishwasher and get the horrible job over with. I am curious to hear other peoples thoughts on the household chore that they hate.
I think my husband hates them more than I do. I use to pay for a maid but now that I am a stay at home mom not bringing in income, I figure that makes it my job. I am looking forward to the day my son is old enough to do it because I would love to make it his chore or at least split the chore with him.

It's a huge toss up between the laundry and the dishes. There are two loads a day here. I guess I will say the dishes. You still have to unload the dishwasher and they are never completely dry, so it's still a pain. My husband and I are so sick of dishes, we actually threw everything except for the pots and pans away! We used paper or plastic everything! I am thinking about doing it again.... No matter what I try to do, there is always a full sink and laundry to be cleaned!!! GRRR! :) Enjoy your day! If you leave the dishes, there will only be more to wash, might as well do them!!! :)

Dishes and laundry are the two I would almost pay someone else to do. No matter how much time you spend doing them there seems to be an endless supply of more to do. Wash, dry, sort, fold, hang, someones got a new stain you have to get out. Those are the two most dreaded chores in my house and I have to do them more than once every day.

Like yourself, my most hated chore is the dishes also. I dont like to wash dishes especially if i am doing the cooking. Too make it more tolerable i ask my daughter to help out. She will wash half and then i will do the other half. I hate washing pans and pots the most. I try and do the dishes right after eating so they dont pile up but they usually do. Try putting music on to motivate yourself. Works for me sometimes. lol! Good luck on your quest.

I guess I have a whole different "approach" to household chores. I do not let them bother me-period. They have to be done, are part of life, so why let it bug you? Plus I like all my work done and a clean house. Why sweat the small things?

I hate cleaning the bathroom - seriously hate it. The way that I cope with it is to have my husband do it.

i'm the same way i hate doing the dishes, i'd rather clean the toilet. i will sometimes ask my husband to do it to avoid doing them.lol

mine is mopping!!! i just hate it! i feel like moving the mop around and around is just leaving it still dirty! i cope with it bc i know i HAVE to do it cuz no one else will!
