Any fellow red sox fans out there?
Anyone watch Beckett throw an entire game and shut out the angels tonight? WooHoo How Bout Them BoSox?!
is it important to have something in your life that makes you happy? perhaps being passionately dedicated to a group of baseball players is mildly neurotic but i know not a more true hearted group of fans...god damnit i sound ridiculous...but i am a proud member of red sox nation and will be until the day a die.

Beckett looked impressive as is to be expected. There are a lot of serious aces in the playoffs this year but I think the BoSox may actually have the best ace in Beckett. I'm not a BoSox fan, per se, but I'd love to see a Yanks vs. BoSox series. (I'm an Oakland Athletics fan and just enjoy some good old fashioned Autumn Classic baseball)
Big Papi hasn't lost his power and Manny had Lackey's number. Gotta wonder if/when Vlad will come around. Fun series to watch.

Wearing a Yankees cap in Boston is simply asking for trouble (as is wearing a Sox cap in NYC). I'm not saying that grown men should pick on little kids, but it's like wearing a bikini in Tehran...you can't really be too surprised when it gets negative reactions.
Beckett was awesome and Big Papi, Manny, Lowell, and Youk all had some great hits. Ellsbury & Crisp also did some good fielding. Go Sox!

he pitched an awesome game. I am a die hard Red Sox fan & have been for many years, stuck with them when they lost, nearly died in '86, didn't give up on them.
for the first guy who posted, I was in NY for a Sox/Yanks game and a bunch of drunk, obnoxious LOSER YANKEE FANS picked on my son and called him a cry baby, he was 10 at the time. I don't care what you say, New York has the most obnoxious & odious fans on the planet. Why anyone would pick on a little kid is beyond me.

Well you should have asked your question in Questions rather than in Answers, but the Red Sox didn't beat the Yankees in the World Series, they beat them in the ALCS. They beat the Cardinals in the WS. And yes it's that important.
Fantastic performance by Beckett tonight.

Can I ask a question, and I'm really not trying to be rude.
I was in Mass. for Halloween the year the Red Sox won the World Series against the Yankees. I witnessed a nine year old boy with a Yankees hat on his head get verbally abused by a gang of grown men in their 30s-40s, as well as chasing him. This little kid was so afraid. I couldn't believe it.
I'm talking back in 2004. And who cares if it was against the Cardinals. Boston won, and they hate the Yankees. My question is that it's worth traumatizing a KID over baseball?
Is baseball that important?
I just want to say that if you can really think you are justified because you're a fan of baseball that it's ok to pick on a little kid, you are sick, immature, and should just kill yourself now.
