To the believers,Does Christianity make you atheistic to an extent?
We believe (atleast I hope its all believers) all other gods dont exist except for the God of the bible and That Jesus Christ is "The" way to truth and life and not Just "a" way. Salvation is through him only, not just "one of the ways" to attain salvation.
Emphasis on "To an Extent"

That's a contradiction. A-theism means not believing in any mysterious invisible god-beings. When you talk about someone as being a "believer" you mean that person DOES believe in such a being. So it is impossible for a "believer" to be a-theistic to any extent at all. Even a person who believes in Pan, or Zeus or any god-entity at all other than the christian god, still is not an a-theist. A-theist means NO god-belief whatsoever.

"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer gods than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours." ~ Stephen Roberts
OK... you need to think about this... really THINK... you dismiss all of the thousands of OTHER gods and godesses asa myths and superstitions. You dismiss all of the OTHER supernatural entities who are claimed to be the creator of the world and the universe. You dismiss all the OTHER stories of how everything has come to be. But get this... MANY of those entities, those stories, are LESS ridiculous that the one the one that YOU cling to.
You believe that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat a piece of fruit from a magical tree... (etc.)... and that there is something horribly wrong with people who ARE NOT so gullible and droolingly stupid as to believe such outrageously ridiculous codswallop.
You DO know that's insane... right?

No, but what upsets me is the way Christians treat each other and pastors. I have seen it personally happen where a pastor I really liked had a heart attack and almost died because of the way he was treated by the congregation. Christians have no business treating pastors like people in the world treat their leaders. But, no, it does not make me atheistic, God gave us choices, and these people are making the wrong ones, but it does not diminish my belief in God at all.

The definition of atheism is you believe in no God. So no, it isn't even close.
That is kind of like saying "Does having a dollar in your picket make you insanely wealthy to an extent?"

As long as someone believes in a God, he's not an atheist. There are no degrees of atheism: you are one, or you're not.

Lojique,
Rather than Atheistic, it makes us Monotheistic. Have a great weekend.
Thanks,

Absolutely.
They're atheists with regard to Thor, and Zeus, and Mithras, and so on, for all the thousands of other gods that have been worshipped since the dawn of time.
We Freethinkers simply disregard one more god -- yours.

To the perishing, the Gospel is foolishness. To those of us being saved, it is the power of God.
So to answer your question, NO.
