Im not african american, im african haitian. They tend to speak about knowledge of self, I know my haitian history. I'm very knowledgeable in african american history but it really doesnt matter to me. So does it apply to me? what if a white person, who was born and raised in south africa, move to the us. Would they be considered african american?

If thats what religion is in the Christian sense, Where did people get their view of religion from?

especially when it comes to a persons faith? For example, generalizing all christians by the actions of the crusade, and the inquisition, eventhough Christ said to put down the sword? Or others using suicide bombers to generalize all muslims,etc. why not look at the author and his actions to see if those who follow him are actually followers?

Wanted to Good Morning to everyone. Atheist and Theist alike.

you know what I noticed? I noticed that when a christian becomes a "non-christian", we believe they were never believers. And when an atheist becomes a "theist", other atheist say that person was never an atheist. Whats your view on this?

We believe (atleast I hope its all believers) all other gods dont exist except for the God of the bible and That Jesus Christ is "The" way to truth and life and not Just "a" way. Salvation is through him only, not just "one of the ways" to attain salvation.

Before I start, I would like to say that I am black. I dont listen to hip hop nor do I feel it makes me less "black" because I dont. I think thats one of the problems when it comes to hip hop music. I mean, The hip hop thats on the tv now. I creates this stereotype about african americans that are not true. But the problem is even african americans (the majority of them) is starting to believe the lie and as a result the lie is becoming the truth. Thus now, this is how the world sees us. I believe that rap is a form of poetry but when taken to the media, it creates this false view of african americans. and the ones that follow the stereotype is doing more damage then actually helping. Lets define the culture,and not let the culture define us. Am i wrong on this view? what do you guys think?
