After effects of a bad cold?

I had a really bad cold & flu a few days ago that I've gotten over for the most part. It was pretty much a "normal" cold, with some vomiting thrown in. I have the usual lingering runny nose which I'm not worried about. However, my left ear is slightly plugged, which to the best of my memory has not happened to me after a cold. Is there anything I can do for it, or do I just have to ride it out? There is no wax buildup in either ear.

are you sure you had the cold and the flu at the same time? because the flu has similar symptoms to the cold only it has soreness and fever added to the list of symptoms.

but i guess it is possible to have both since the symptoms overlap. but i'm taking a stab at it and i think what you might have also gotten when you had a cold was an ear infection. i tend to be more susceptible to those whenever i have the cold. and mine are usually bacterial so you can probably get antibiotics if it is an ear infection. i would also suggest if it's a virus infection that you just get medicine that will alleviate the symptoms because antibiotics don't work against viruses.

or you can ride it out like you said.
