Gankutsuou/The Count of Monte Cristo?
I am a big fan of Dumas' novel "The Count of Monte Cristo", and I am considering watching Studio Gonzo's series "Gankutsuou", supposedly a retelling of "Monte Cristo" in space. I know the adaptation will (literally) be worlds away from the original, but is it worth watching? And how closely does it adhere to the original story?
