Why I am afraid that America is heading for a lot of trouble? What do you think?
They are taking God out of everything remember Isreal in the Bible everytime they forgot God they got into a lot of trouble America is heading down that same path. Where are you are we just going to sit back and let these people do this. America I believe you are bigger that this. Show me that you are.
There seems to be a lot of conflict about separation of church and state. I would not like the state to be able to take over the church either. I believe that when the people wrote the constitution they did not want the state to be able to make laws or take over the church. I do not believe that they wanted prayer to be taken out because they prayed for God to guide them when they wrote the Constitution. There is a defference do you not think.

When God discussed Sodom and Gomorrah with Abraham, God told him that he would not distroy it if there were found 10 righteous people there. I think that it is not so much what they are doing that matters, but what we are doing. We need to pray, and pray a lot.
Eze 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

No one is taking away your God. You have the freedom to worship. You need to understand the xian God does not represent every citizen in America & should not be on public docs, schools, building etc. Read the Constitution along with The Declaration of Independance & you will understand. At least I hope you do.
Based on your beliefs of America & religion should we acknowledge all 5,000 Gods past & present or just pick & choose the ones we like? Better yet just the xian god, because America isn't a free country with unbound diversity. How silly.
Add- So I get it, you believe religion has a place in gov, but it has no place in religion. Wow. Have you read the Declaration of Independance or the Constitution? Any essays or quotes from our forefathers? If so, when was the last time? I find it funny that ppl talk about it, but probably haven't read these docs since high school or college. If you want prayer in school send your children to a private school or home school.

The real trouble in America is the loss of the ability to communicate effectively, as your question quite admirably demonstrates.
America isn't taking God out of everything. God belongs in churches and holy places; not in courts and on money. (Remember the words of Jesus? Whose picture was on the money ... God's or Caesar's?) He said "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's."
We don't need the Christian God on every government document. He doesn't belong there. When he is, he is rendered as nothing more than an excuse to bully other countries, and to persecute people here who do not believe in him. Remember what the "Good Christian colonies" did to presumed witches a few hundred years ago?
God belongs in people's lives and churches and Bibles; not in government. No religion should be imposed on those who don't believe in it. Just as you would hate Atheism or Paganism shoved down your throat, why should Atheists or Pagans or Jains or Buddhists have the Christian beliefs forced upon them? It only serves to make Christianity look like a brutish rapist in the eyes of the world.

America has a lot more faith so don't count us out yet. People think the 9/11 was the time and a few weeks after that you could see religion in people. It is there all the time but is not reported. Faith is like a rainbow and tragedies bring out both the rain and suns light at the same time. But when the sun is gone or the rain is gone, trust me that whatever caused the rainbow to exist is still there. And that is what faith is like.
Peace.

I think I'm friggin' sick and tired to death of people constantly whining about how rotten America is becoming. Why? Because they took the Ten Commandments out of the courthouse? Because Marilyn Manson is popular? Get a grip, kids. We used to own slaves in this country. We used to keep women from voting. We use to allow children to work industrial, health-endangering jobs. We use to shove people into the back of the bus because their skin color was too dark. Would you prefer to go back to those days when we were so "moral"? I wouldn't. Apparently you haven't noticed, but we're actually moving closer and closer to the Christian ideal of tolerance and respect for one another...or isn't that the Christian ideal at all anymore?

In its government, by decree, religion is never supposed to interplay in public life. As we both know, that has not held true for the better part of two centuries. However, I'm puzzled by your implication that they are taking God out of everything. Based on what? If anything, this country is still as devout and religious as any on Earth. Maybe even more so, for better or for worse.

NO doubt about it man. Just turn on the news. I just read today where GWB makes sweeping statements that we, the Muslims and all other religions all worship the same God. It was in Cal Thomas' column today. So why don't we all just convert to Islam and get them the heck off our backs IF THATS THE CASE.
*sarcasm*
I wonder where GWB is when his pastor reads this aloud:
Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The British government became complicit interior the launch of one of the international's maximum dastardly criminals. in spite of politics this sent out each and all the incorrect messages to terrorists and rogue states worldwide. in addition to,it became a slap interior the face to the families of the victims. For Brown to point that the jumped up park keeper (scottish justice minister) made this decision on my own isn't something wanting absurd.little doubt the SNP chief Salmond is rubbing his palms at his thrust into worldwide politics after languishing in what isn't something extra advantageous than a verbal substitute shop the place the scots pretend to manage themselves. No Brown became not suitable. even with a present day leftist backlash in direction of the U. S.,the country remains an English conversing chum and best chum with comparable ideals and values.the u . s . grants this united states of america with intelligence, technologies and protection rigidity suggestions in another country in all our conflicts, not least the Falklands. in spite of the reward of underhand dealing with the Libyans, not something could desire to be truly definitely worth the wear to our dating with the hot international. God bless former president George Bush, our alliance and the forces of the coalition. for people who extol the standard of mercy and compassion prolonged to the prisoner you will possibly have a valid argument.if so then could I ask why became Myra Hindley or the Kray's not released although their crimes faded into insignificance by potential of assessment? certainly we could desire to declare that it became exceptionally unusual for the homesecretary to opposite his decision to maintain Ronnie Biggs in detention center....in basic terms a week previously the launch of al-Megrahi!

Yes I believe America is in for trouble, Am I gonna let it happen? yes. And here is why:

Jer 27:
2: Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,
5: I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
6: And now have I given all these lands unto the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
