Looking for a game like World of Warcraft that can be played solo?
I loved playing World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online but don't like having to join others in quests. I'm socially awkward and self-conscience. I'd like to find another similar game where I can go solo for the majority if not all the time. Free is preferable, but I'll take a pay one if it meets my needs.

Guild wars is good, one time fee (to buy the game) then free online play forever. In the expansion Nightfall, you get heroes with you that you can level up and give armor and help fight with ouy, and you get all coins and drops. Its an awesome game, nice change on MMORPGs

What you need to do is get Elder Scrolls Oblivion and and expansion packs. Those games have extremely good graphics and it will take you forever to beat them. The people there are like real people they have there own stories to tell and though they are not real they look so. I have been playing the game for 3 days (total time) and I still haven't beaten the game. One of the big plusses though is that you can turn the difficulty level down.
And the killer plus is that you have no specific type to be.
Because my character is a Dark Elf, Rogue, Assasin, Warrior, Battle, Vampire, Mage. He is so cool.

I have played about two months ago a game called "Silver Fall"..
It was a shock for me how similar it is to WoW. Mobs, EXP, items, races, weapons, quests and worlds...
I really like that game.. if you go through all the quests there, you will need about 1000 hours to do it. It hasn't been giving a very high rating at gamspot.com, but i'm a WoW lover, and I loved it.. It much similar to diablo but in more modern style

My recommendation would be Diablo 2... it's a little dated, but still a hell of a game.
