    Love it in the Fall....

    Hate it in the Spring...

Besides, the internal clock that winds my kids up doesn't change with the actual clock...so that's messed up!!

    To be honest...

    I hate it.....

This loosing one hour and gaining it back some months later.

I wish they would just leave it alone. At one time and leave it. If you research this - and how "true time" is calculated".. Each and every year that goes by - Our "global time" is off by some amount {?} and that over a period of time... It throws off the seasons....

I can remember "here" - when we would have a white Christmas [Dec.24/25] ... [SNOW]... Now ... The temps and weather are way off. I believe to some degree that this could be "global warming" -- But not all...

Thanks for asking - I have found this to be very interesting and glad you asked...

If we are going to move it one hour, then why not two hours? or three hours? The point is we save energy, but where I live we hardly notice the difference because the daylight hours are during the workday either way, so what's the diff? If they changed it more dramtically, I could use less energy/lighting at home when I get home in the afternoon. The way it's done now, it makes no difference in my energy usage.

i think aggravated at the same time as the clock on my computer alterations immediately in accordance with northern hemisphere sunlight hours mark downs notwithstanding I stay contained in the southern hemisphere. It also annoys me that my computer clock lists the date as "mm/dd/yyyy." it truly is so American. The day should be listed first, then the month then the 365 days. it truly is the eleventh of March, not the third of November. Grr. Edit: @Blummdum, convinced, I did that purely now, notwithstanding it wasn't letting me do it this morning. It purely saved telling me that it had replaced over because of sunlight hours mark downs and refused to enable me replace the time zone. My computer does that each and each and every 365 days though because I gadget fix it and it is going back to the yankee time zone. thanks besides, computing gadget geek. :)

I hate it. It was created by Ben Franklin to save farmers time/money by giving them longer to work in the summer days when the days were longer. But, now that we have machines and efficiency is much higher, we don't really have a need for it anymore. But, it's only a minor inconvienience for the first week while our bodies get adjusted.

  • I am in Wisconsin and wish they would just leave the time the same all year round. It is a pain changing the time and having to get kids use to it.

Ours is on Nov 4th. Fall back..lose one hour. I just really don't like the fact that it's going to be pitch black when I get out of work.

It's an outdated idea. We're only talking an hour..pick a time and go w/it is what I say. Have a great day too Moon!

  • We've been doing it for a long time. And honestly, we've grown to use it as a standard time to change fire alarm batteries. It's a time of the year that stands out and is useful. I'd probably burn to death one day if we didn't have it here.

    ♥ O... and I'm in the USA!
