I wonder if the idiot on my block who I'd never seen before in my life but who stopped me when I was walking my dog is on this forum...

Me: (biting back the first six things that leaped to mind) No. She's spayed, and she's fourteen.

I have a little 4 lb chihuahua and a 20 lb schnauzer.

I had both of them fixed as soon as the vet said they could be.

I hate when people breed their dogs just cause they are cute. Yeah, they are cute but so are the dogs in the shelter. The next dog I get will be from my local shelter. I was young and stupid when I bought my dogs years ago. Now I know better and visit the local shelter many times a week and remind myself they need homes!!!!!! Not the cute little foofie at the mall.

Yup, i HATE it when people ask questions like uh oh, my dogs having her puppies, what do i do now? Jeeze.

I understand breeding if you breed for show and for other people IF you know how to do it and you do it for your living and its a true passion, not just a quick money maker.

I also dont understand why people keep buying designer dogs fom breeders, when you can find the exact same kind of dog at a shelter.

Hallelujah! I rescued a 3 month old Yorkie boy with a liver shunt because his owner would rather him be put to death than pay for the surgery. I have a soft spot for pitiful animals, and the credit card debt from the vet visits to prove it.

He's stunted at 4 pounds at 11 months of age. My vet wanted me to wait until both of his jewels descended before having him neutered, but it turns out he's bilaterally cryptorchid, so his neutering will be a little more expensive and risky, but what the heck? He's already got a medical file an inch thick. :)

He goes everywhere with me and the idiots always approach me--do you want to breed him? Well...first, he's a liver shunt survivor and second...HE'S STERILE from crappy breeding...yeah...he's a shining example of Yorkiness.

Is he a teacup? Yeah...because of congenital defects. Cripes.

I love my 4 year old, spayed Rottie girl from a great breeder...and my almost 17 year old spayed Samoyed girl...from a great breeder. ...and my almost year old Yorkie boy...the rescue from hell...from a BYB.

Will it really get deleted? Why? Who deletes them? I know I've had some answers deleted for violation of the rules, or something, but don't see why......there ARE some truly ignorant, dangerous people out there, and some times they need to be told!

Well I guess now we know why there are so many dogs in shelters being put to sleep because people weren't thinking when they let them breed. It is scary how many of these people are out there.

An even more depressing thought: how many idiot people are breeding more humans like themselves? For goodness sakes, you need a license to go fishing, but you don't need a breeding license?!

(Laughing at the thumbs-down we are all getting already... At least these people know who they are! Knowing is half the battle!)
