How to ask for donations in a nice, but convincing way?
We are having a Halloween party and providing a 1/2 barrel of beer to guests. We're not going to charge for a cup (seems kind of juvenile) but we'd like to set up a "donation jar" to help cover the costs. I've seen these at other parties with great sayings on them encouraging donations... any ideas to get people to fork some cash over??? :)

Rig up a ghost figure (anything covered with a sheet) and have one arm extended over a jar saying BOO! All donations gratefully accepted in the SPIRITS for which they are intended...(don't simply have a jar, incorporate it into the Halloween theme.)
