i do. in fact, i was just looking at the black friday sites to see if there were any ads posted yet (ace hardware and sears were the only ones for those who want to know). it has become a tradition with my mom and me.

if you are looking for great deals, i recommend going. i save lots of money every year buying on black friday. for instance..my kids wanted video rocker chairs last year. $99 a piece. i got them black friday from walmart for $39 a piece. i also use it as an opportunity to get their winter clothes. some great bargains on stuff i'd normally pay out the butt for. i normally take between $500-$700 and come home with a whole suv full of stuff and money still in my wallet!

outside of the shopping, it does get me in the christmas mood just knowing my favorite day of the year is just a month or so away!

even if you decide not to go, watch the ads throughout the christmas season. some stores will run those specials again sometime before christmas.

no. i hate crowded stores( like the first answer said). There are always long lines(ecspecially at Wolly World (wal*mart) and i dont really feel like standing in a line for 50 something minutes . And no its not worth getting up super early. It will still be busy.

Usually when i go shopping I start early. Like January early. After Thanksgiving I believe it is the worst time to shop because everybody is busy with one minute gifts and you will be at risk for the present you want to by being gone.

I NEVER shop on Black Friday. I know that so many store have huge sales but it's not worth being over crowded. Plus I would hate to wake up at 5AM to wait in line for an hour, freezing my butt off and not get what I came for (since a lot of times they only have a certain amount in stock and people will push you out of the way to get what they want).

Well, it depends on how many people you go Christmas shopping for. I have a big family, and I love going shopping on Black Friday to get all the presents finished in one day....So you have to wake up really early on a day off...you can usually get all your shopping done by noon, then go back to sleep. Plus, if you don't have that many people to shop for, it's a great day to get some great shopping done for yourself, plus, some stores give you special discounts for that day, plus more coupons for later. I remember last year, I went into a store to get a gift card for my neice, and since I was one of the first ones there, they gave me a $50 giftcard-that took care of that situation...Anyway, it is definitely worth it.

I hate Black Friday and wouldn't go near any mall or other department store. In fact I like being done with Christmas by the week before Thanksgiving.

Yea ...i guess its worth it but i never go really early maybe around 7 or 8 ...b/c usually i dont want the things they have only 5 of so i just go for the other good prices!!!!!

Never @ 5am. It's not worth my time. Usually I go later in the morning (just before most of the deals go off sale). I did that last year @ wal-mart and still got good deals.

We leave at dark and ride around looking at where there are the shortest lines. They had ppl outside looked like they were waiting for a concert or something. It's nuts, but whenever we really need something we go and get it.
