If my friend divorces her husband would she get some or all of his navy pension?

Update:

Does any one know if it affects it if he's not behaving well with the children and such?

A wife can get half of the pension if they had been married at least 10 years while he was in the service. It has to be written in the divorce documents that she will get the amount due to her.

It depends on how long they were married. She could be entitled to up to half.

My uncle and his wife divorced after 25 years of marriage. He retired from the Air Force and she gets half.

depends on how long he was in the navy, how long they were married, what the contract or whatever entitles her to
