Can I drive my 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Hotwheel to the Drive-In of the soul?
Now, I am an old guy ( to some ), and I still like Hot Wheels. I buy them for my new sons all the time. But, instead of buying just two at a time, sometimes I buy three and say "one for you, one for you, and one for me". They think it is funny. But, while I am at the computer, I will take my green and white 1970 Roadrunner Hot Wheel and roll it around and go "rrrrrrrrrrr scrrrreeech" around the desk while I am trying to think. Sometimes, I pretend I am driving it. It got me to thinking about astral projection. Maybe I am driving it. Maybe I astrally project myself behind the wheel of the old Plymouth and the computer monitor is like the drive-in theater of the soul. So, tell me what you think, am I to old to play with Hot Wheels?

since old is a state of mind, I can say with firm conviction that you, dear 8 Track, will NEVER be too old for Hot Wheels
this is a compliment of the highest order, BTW

I was already a teenager when Hot Wheels came out (late 60's), so at that time I was fascinated by Mad Magazine, Hot Rod Magazine, music and good drugs!
But every Friday night you'll still see me cruisin' for burgers in my red 1957 'Corgi' Chevy Bel Air...The chicks love it!
Then when I run out of gas, I come home and build the Eiffel Tower with my Meccano! I still have my 50 year old set, complete with motorized crane!
When I'm feeling really nostalgic I'll dig out my Lincoln Log's, or my 'Tinker Toys'!
Man I wish I was a kid again!
Thanks, now it's time for an adult beer!
Edit - I'm curious what kind of a** would give thumbs down to these answers...that's just plain stupid! I betcha that same moron will give me one as well. Makes me wonder about people for sure. They need to play a game of G'nip G'nop, or Toss Across, and loosen up a little!

The day you stop playing is the day you begin to die. I love toys and I love to play. I've always had a gift of being able to project myself into books, posters, what ever. I thought everyone did that when I was a kid. My first poster was one I sent off for through the mail. It was a poster of the keebler elf village. I used to play "in" that poster for hours at a time. You can project yourself into whatever you want. Funny you should mention that. I have to watch myself, because if I go off in thought, I accidentally project myself into someones mind. Not a nice thing to do. I don't mean to. I get lost in thought and all of a sudden I'm walking the halls of someones mind looking behind doors and such.
Pangel, get your husband that toy for Christmas. It will be the best ever.

You are not too old. I was in my granddaughter's bedroom and I tried to get her Hannah Montana wig on to see if I could pull of being a tweener.
Looks like the Thumbs Down Fairy got tired after Dreamer. If I get violated for this one, I will shove your butt over and climb in that Roadrunner with you.

I stole my brother's Napoleonic War toy soldiers (he's 48 by the way) and restaged the Battle of Waterloo last Christmas.
That was really crazy.
But no, you are never too old to play with toys.

As long as your hot wheels are older than you are, I think you're safe to play. If they start talking back to you, giving you out-of-body instructions (like little voices in your head telling you where to drive, or to drive really fast and dangerously) then you might need to see an "exorcisautoist" for professional guidance. Good Luck.

No, and can you stop by and pick my Barbie up on the way to the drive-in, she's the old style, you know the one with the ungodly proportions.
