Is there a such thing as an AIDS "carrier"?

Obviously there are people carrying HIV and AIDS, but I want to get to the bottom of whether or not there's a such thing as a person that has HIV, but doesn't suffer the symptoms, passes HIV on to their partners and never contracts AIDS. Is it a myth?

Update:

I mean is there any scientific evidence? Does the medical field recognize these entities as real and not just the occasional odds beaters? I have a bet going, so sources would be helpful.

I haven't seen the scientific evidence about such an AIDS carrier. I meet many friends on a site called positivesingles.com. They are HIV-positive patient. But none of them is such a person. Maybe such persons don't exist.

    I am sorry to say,

    Yes

My cousin died from aids, 1 year after contracting it from her boyfriend who have had hiv for the past 8 to 10 years without any symptoms of aids.

OK Yes there are some people who are HIV+ who have not gone into full blone AIDS yet and they are very lucky and are responding to medication. It depends on your viral load on how symptomatic you will be. A person can Have HIV for years and not show one sign. That is why they say you can just "look" at a person and tell they have an STD.
