What do you think is the best recipe for popcorn balls??

I have a few but I was just wondering if you had a special recipe that you just love to make!!

    i have never made these but they sound really good. maybe i should try them out.

    Mallow Popcorn Balls

    Prep Time: 10 min

    Total Time: 1 hr 20 min

    Makes: 10 servings, 1 popcorn ball each

    1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine

    40 JET-PUFFED Marshmallows

    1/2 tsp. vanilla

    1/4 tsp. salt

    3 qt. (12 cups) popped popcorn

    MELT butter in 3-quart saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows, vanilla and salt; cook until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly.

    PLACE popcorn in large bowl. Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn; mix lightly to coat.

    SHAPE mixture into 10 (3-inch) balls with lightly greased hands. Place on sheets of wax paper; let stand until firm. Store in airtight container at room temperature.

    These popcorn balls are sure to be a hit with kids. They are fun to make and a serving, one popcorn ball, makes a nice sweet treat.

    Substitute

    Substitute 4 cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows for the 40 JET-PUFFED Marshmallows.

    CARAMEL POPCORN BALLS

    1 c. butter

    2/3 c. evaporated milk

    1 1/2 c. white sugar

    1 1/2 c. brown sugar

    1 c. corn syrup

    Vanilla

    Combine all the ingredients except the vanilla. Cook to a firm ball stage. Prepare in a large heavy canner. Pour in about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 of the large Tupperware bowls full of popcorn. Stir until all the popcorn is well coated. Pour out onto buttered cookie sheets and spread to cool. Can make into balls or leave on the sheets and pull off as you like.

    CHOCOLATE POPCORN BALLS:

    1/2 c. sugar

    1/2 c. light corn syrup

    1/4 c. butter

    2 tbsp. cocoa

    1/2 tsp. salt

    8 c. popped corn (about 1/2 c. unpopped)

    Heat sugar, corn syrup, butter, cocoa and salt to boiling in 4 quart kettle or Dutch oven over medium heat, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Stir in popped corn. Cook and stir until popcorn is coated, about 2 minutes. Cool to lukewarm. Shape into 3 inch balls. Place balls on waxed paper. Cool. For easy shaping, dip hands in cold water from time to time. For chocolate - peanut popcorn balls; stir 1/2 cup salted peanuts into cocoa mixture with the popcorn.

    Caramel Popcorn Balls Makes 10 to 12 balls image image Ingredients 16 cups plain popped popcorn (do not use buttered popcorn) 1 package (14 ounces) caramels 1/4 cup butter Pinch of salt 1-2/3 cups shredded coconut 1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips 10 to 12 lollipop sticks Halloween sprinkles and decorations (optional) image 1. Place popcorn in large bowl. 2. Place caramels and butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Cook and stir until caramels and butter are melted and smooth, about 5 minutes. Stir in salt and coconut. Remove caramel mixture from heat; pour over popcorn. With large wooden spoon, mix until popcorn is evenly coated. Let cool slightly. 3. Place chocolate chips in microwavable bowl. Microwave at HIGH 1 minute; stir. Microwave at HIGH for additional 30-second intervals until chips are completely melted, stirring after each 30-second interval. Stir until smooth. 4. When popcorn mixture is cool enough to handle, grease hands with butter or nonstick cooking spray. Shape popcorn mixture into baseball-sized balls; place 1 lollipop stick in each ball. Dip each popcorn ball into melted chocolate and roll in Halloween decorations, if desired. Place on waxed paper until chocolate is set. Variation Pour melted chocolate over caramel popcorn mixture; mix by hand until popcorn is coated with chocolate. Spread evenly on baking sheet lined with waxed paper until chocolate is set.
