How do i make my closet not smell like "old" laundered clothing. They smell great when i put them.?

in the closet, then they have an innate ability to smell like crapola. Want the opinion of a female, my girlfriend says my closet stinks. I tell her it's because she doesn't wash the clothes often enough! And it only has clothes(no shoes, laundry etc.)

Hey, I've got the best solution. First, need to shampoo floor with a product like Odo ban (home depot) and then for eliminating the odor for good, go out and get a couple of the FRIDGE-IT activated carbon odor absorbers - little purple cube.only costs $2 - $3 dollars each. Totally unscented so it actually eliminates odor rather than covering up with some nasty fragrance and totally safe to use.

I've used these for worst smells than that including spoiled fish in car and for closets, fridge, etc. Just put a couple of these in your closet and forget about it. No spills or chemicals to worry about. You can buy these for around 2 - 3 dollars each in kitchen gadget stores or just go direct - contact them at customerservice@innofresh.com and ask for order form. You get it right away.

Definitely the way to go. try it.

    Good luck

This is very effective. Take and quarter cut an apple. Put the four pieces of apple on the floor of your closet. The apple will absorb all odors. Do this for any unwanted odor in your house, office, or car. Several years ago a friend put a bottle of Bacardi 151 Rum in my car as a surprise. The outside temperature was very high and the bottle burst. I couldn't drive the car. An old man I knew cut up his apple he had for lunch, put it in my car, and by the end of the day the smell was gone. I have used this method of cleaning odors now for over twenty years; especially in getting rid of indoor cigarette smoke smells. I smoke and I do this to my home once or twice a month. NEVER FAILED!

Some of these things you are saying sound silly. What really works is fill the closet with diesel and light it on fire. You will never smell that old man smell again! Just kidding!

    Try this....

Cut an orange in half and scoop out the pulp. Fill the orange "cup" with salt. Put on the shelf of your closet or back in the corner. Replace every couple of weeks. Works great!!

Place cedar strips in your closet. It will remove the smell and prevents bugs from getting to your clothes.

Get your girl friend to make you some lavendar bags, This is the time of the year to do that. It was the traditional way to sweeten laundry and keep the moths away.
